“Our baby is going off to university – the whole family is growing up and we want to preserve the day in photos – will you spend the day with us, and bring your camera?”  

One of the very first professional photography jobs I was hired for was a graduation.  I spent the day with a lovely family at their garden party. It was really delightful. That was many years ago and since then, I have had the chance to photograph formal graduating classes – including the studio cap and gown images and dressy formals, along with many graduation lifestyle photo sessions.  Confession: When I saw the raw and genuine reaction of a proud dad the first time he saw his little girl all dressed up for her grad day, I cried.
