When I got the call from Canadian Cowboy Country’s Editor Extraordinaire, Terri Mason, requesting that I submit photos for the (click On Dec-Jan Weddings to see a PDF of the issue) Dec-Jan Weddings Dream Issue of the magazine, I was honoured and excited to participate. It didn’t take me long to know that the wedding to submit was that of Jed and Tiffany Downie of Willingdon, Alberta.
Jed and Tiff had a lovely rural ranch wedding right on the Downie homestead. Every little detail was perfect – from the twinkle lights high in the rafter of the machine shed (the reception site) to the rig mats that elevated a stage to hold the head table and then, when dinner was over, doubled as a dance floor.
The details were well-planned and executed, and the outdoor reception site was complete with a firepit and lights for the warm summer evening reception.
Since Tiff’s horses are so important to the couple, they knew they had to have their sunset photos include their quarter horse herd. Of course, with my long history in the horse world, I was more than happy to oblige them and spent a good hour in the field capturing everything they wanted and more.
Congratulations Jed and Tiff – thanks for being the perfect couple and wedding to be featured in the December-January Dream Issue of Canadian Cowboy Country Magazine. And special thanks to the team at Tanner Young Publishing – Editor,Terri Mason, Art Director, Adam Still and of course, Publishers, Rob and Marie Tanner.
