Esther contacted me just a few weeks before her November 2015 wedding. She and her fiance, Mark McDougall, said that photography was very important to them. I told them that photography was important to me, too. Already, we had so much in common!
As we finished the wedding session that day, I asked her about the choice of their date. “So, Esther, what were you thinking getting married on November 21? It could have been a blizzard!” “I know,” giggled Esther, “but it wasn’t!” Esther is one of those people with beautiful optimism, enthusiasm and a gorgeous smile, to match. What a joy it was to photograph their wedding!

“So, this past November Mark and I got hitched! When searching for a photographer, we wanted to find someone with a very easygoing personality to help make us feel comfortable on our wedding day. I heard through the grapevine about Nancy. We asked Nancy if she would be available to do our wedding photography and were so excited when she said she’d love to. We wanted our day to have a very rural and rustic feel and Nancy did an INCREDIBLE job of capturing exactly what we had asked for! After the ceremony Nancy took us back-roading to capture some amazing Alberta landscape (off the beaten trail).
